The sunshine of a summer day perfectly reflects the optimism surrounding the 2015 Steelers.
With each passing day, there seems to be a new ranking that has the Steelers near or at the top of the list. One of the more recent lists included Ben Roethlisberger's place among the other "elite" quarterbacks in the NFL, something co-hosts Chris Carter and I will discuss during this week's edition of our weekly Steelers podcast, "What's Hot", which will air Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET.
To listen live, go to our BlogTalkRadio page at the start of the show. To listen anytime, search "The Standard is The Standard" on iTunes to listen in the podcast section. The podcast will also be featured on Thursday here on BTSC.
While the offense has been the story this offseason, the defense has been mostly overshadowed despite many changes to that side of the ball which includes the promotion of new defensive coordinator Keith Butler. Chris and I will give some predictions in regards to what you can expect from this new generation of Steelers defense.
This episode of "What's Hot" will also give way too early predictions in regards to the NFL playoffs, and what AFC teams could give the Steelers the biggest challenge to come out of the AFC this season. While Le'Veon Bell's career is too green to include him among the list of all-time running backs, that won't stop us from ranking our top-10 greatest running backs of all-time. See if Chris and I agree with the BTSC readers that recently voted Barry Sanders as the greatest running back of all-time.
And speaking of Bell, ESPN recently tabbed Bell as their choice as the No.1 player in fantasy football, despite the fact that Bell will miss the season's first three games. Chris and I will discuss whether or not you should draft Bell with your No.1 pick in this years fantasy football draft.
Fans are encouraged to call in at (347) 850-8581 and tell us who is in your top-10 all-time running backs list, along with any other questions Steelers related. Enjoy the show!
