Steelers Final Score Podcast: Can Pittsburgh survive without DeAngelo Williams if need be?

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without their starting RB DeAngelo Williams in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs. Can they survive without him? We talk about it on the latest BTSC post-game podcast.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to have their dream scenario come to fruition in Week 17 of the NFL regular season. Their victory over the hapless Cleveland Browns, combined with the Buffalo Bills stunning the New York Jets opened the door for the Steelers to be the No. 6 seed in the AFC Playoffs.

However, the win did come at a cost for Pittsburgh. Late in the second quarter, running back DeAngelo Williams was helped off the field with a right ankle injury, and did not return. Williams returned to the sidelines, but wasn't seen after halftime until congratulating his teammates after their win.

This marks the second season in a row where the Steelers have lost their starting RB in Week 17 before a Wild Card game. In 2014, Le'Veon Bell was injured in Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Baltimore Ravens beat the Bell-less Steelers the following week.

The Steelers now prepare for the Bengals with the possibility Williams will not be ready to play, which begs the question "Can the team win without Williams in the lineup?" .

We answer that question, and field phone calls from listeners in the latest "Steelers Final Score" BTSC post-game podcast.
