A win is a win. There is no getting around that, and for the Pittsburgh Steelers who are following up a 4-game losing streak with a 4-game winning streak, you won’t hear me complaining about a victory.
However, what I will complain about is the manner in which the team won. Plain and simple, the Week 14 win over the Buffalo Bills let me down in a lot of ways. No, not Le’Veon Bell or the offensive line, but in several other categories.
- Ben Roethlisberger’s horrible three interceptions, the last of the trio nearly had me put my foot through my television.
- The amount of missed tackles by the defense in the second half.
- The defense seemingly taking their foot off the gas and allowing the Bills to claw their way back into the game.
- The simple fact the Steelers should have won the game 42-0, but instead the score was 27-20.
All of this is acceptable because the team won, but as I state in the video below, the team still has plenty to “chew on” after this win, and that could be a good thing. Watching the film and seeing just how poorly several people played could motivate the team even more down the stretch.
Not that they should need any extra motivation.
If the Steelers win out they win the AFC North and put themselves in prime position to do some damage in the postseason. I talk about those potential projections, the AFC North race, and what is going on with Roethlisberger when he plays away from Heinz Field plus much more in the latest Facebook Live video below.
