A way too early win-loss prediction for the 2017 Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers should still be a formidable team in 2017, but how will they handle their upcoming slate of games?

NFL: AFC Divisional-Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

At this point in the offseason, everyone talks about the unknown.

Who will the Steelers draft?

Will they be a major player in free agency?

Will they be able to sign Le'Veon bell?

There is one thing we do know, and that is the Steelers 2017 opponents, the location of the game and their strength of schedule.

Take a look, in case you forgot:

Baltimore
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Jacksonville
Tennessee
Green Bay
Minnesota
New England

Away

Cleveland
Houston
Indianapolis
Chicago
Detroit
Kansas City

It is never too early for predictions, and I give you mine on what could happen next season for the black and gold. No one can forget just how good the Steelers are at home, and how terribly inconsistent they are on the road. With that said, and looking at who they play at Heinz Field vs. away from the Big Ketchup Bottle, I can actually see the team improving their record to 12-4 next season.

I know, call me crazy, but I feel this team will get some key pieces back, talking about you Martavis Bryant, and will be more experienced as they don’t drop those games to bad teams, and prove they are worthy to be in the discussion of one of the best teams in the NFL.

I discuss this more in the latest BTSC podcast “Steelers Hangout” above. Give it a listen in the player above, and follow all of the BTSC podcasts on iTunes by searching "The Standard is the Standard", as well as on several podcast apps for Android users.
