Heading into the Week 3 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, the Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. The injury bug sprang up and bit them on Sunday night to the tune of three defensive starters all missing significant time due to injury.
Other than the players already deemed out vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday, the Steelers still largely have a clean bill of health.
Besides Ryan Shazier (knee), Ike Taylor (broken arm) and Jarvis Jones (wrist injury), every available player on the Steelers' 53-man roster practiced fully on Thursday.
Rookie running back/wide receiver Dri Archer (ankle) and offensive guard Ramon Foster (ankle) both were full participants in practice for the second straight day. Their participation all but signifies their spots on the active roster this Sunday at Heinz Field.
Lance Moore, whose one snap of action against the Panthers Sunday left many baffled, has been a full participant all week and has shown he's healthy and ready to contribute when the opportunity presents itself. Whether that happens against the Buccaneers on Sunday is yet to be determined.
Veterans Troy Polamalu, Heath Miller and Brett Keisel were given Wednesday off practice, but all returned to practice Thursday.
The Steelers host the Buccaneers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh at 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday.
