Steelers Le'Veon Bell named NFL.com 2014 Fantasy Player of the Year

The second-year Steelers running back picks up some more hardware in NFL honors night.

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

Who picked Le'Veon Bell in the first round of your fantasy draft?

If you did, you might not have done as well as the many league champions who took him in the second round, banking on him exploding the way he did.

After 2,215 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns, Bell's success earned him NFL.com's Fantasy Player of the Year.

Clearly, it pales in comparison to the NFL MVP Award Bell did not win, but the recognition for the league's best all around running back is nice. And gives him plenty of juice to be the consensus top pick in 2015.

Bell was named the FedEx Ground Player of the Year earlier in the night as well.

The only thing standing in Bell's way for a first or second pick next year is a possible suspension for a DUI and marijuana possession arrest stemming from a traffic stop in Ross, Pa., in August. Outside of that, it should be smooth sailing for another 2,000 plus yards from scrimmage and 11-plus touchdown campaign.

So he's got that going for him. Which is nice.
