ESPN reporter John Clayton wrote Sunday a source confirmed with him the Steelers would talk to center Maurkice Pouncey in regards to a hat with the words "Free Hernandez" on it at a night club.
Photos of Pouncey and his twin brother, Mike, wearing a different color of the same hat surfaced Sunday. Neither Pouncey, nor their respective teams (Mike plays for the Dolphins) have said anything official about the photos.
The photos surface less than two weeks before the Steelers open training camp in Latrobe, Pa. Pouncey is expected to be a big contributor to a revamped offensive line that is expected to be the youngest group of starters the unit has had for the Steelers in decades. Pouncey has been named All-Pro in each of his first three seasons after being drafted 18th overall in 2010.
