Texans vs. Steelers point spread: Pittsburgh four-point favorites heading into Monday Night Football in Week 7

The Steelers, fresh off a huge defeat, are four-point favorites over the visiting Texans.

Lose 31-10 on the road? No problem, you'll be favored at home in prime time the following week.

Perhaps bettors are impressed with the Steelers' league-best 24-5 all-time record on Monday Night Football. Whatever the reason, oddsmakers have installed the Steelers as four-point favorites against the visiting Houston Texans on Monday Night Football in Week 7.

The Steelers are coming off their worst defeat of the season and, pending injury reports due out Thursday from the team, could be without another few key defenders. They've already announced nose tackle Steve McLendon won't play, and free safety Mike Mitchell and defensive ends Cameron Heyward and Brett Keisel were all injured toward the end of their Week 6 loss.

The Texans expect rookie DE Jadaveon Clowney to practice this week, and his early-week status was reportedly 50/50 to play in this upcoming game.

Houston is coming off of a tough defeat at the hands of the AFC South-leading Indianapolis Colts, a game the Texans could have won late if not for a few fumbles. The Steelers are 1-1 on prime time so far this year, getting whipped by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, but rebounding to pound the Carolina Panthers 37-19 in Week 3.

Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET Oct. 20 in Pittsburgh, PA.
