Bill Cowher: 'Kudos to Big Ben' after record-breaking performance

Bill Cowher was alone on the CBS pre-game broadcast as the only member of the panel that picked the Steelers to upset the Colts. Cowher took to Twitter to congratulate his former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher has been critical of the current crop of Steelers this season. He called the team 'soft' and 'finesse' after their Week 6 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Although his comments had many upset, on Sunday Cowher stood behind the team he used to coach on a number of fronts.

On the CBS football pre-game show, Cowher was laughed at and ridiculed by the likes of Bart Scott, Boomer Esiason and Tony Gonzalez, not only for picking the Steelers to upset the Indianapolis Colts, but also by saying the Steelers will take the criticism and those overlooking them 'personally'.

It turns out that the old football coach still knows a thing or two about how NFL locker rooms operate, especially when that room belongs to the home team at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Cowher continued his praise of the Steelers after their 51-34 victory by complimenting Ben Roethlisberger and his record-breaking performance on Twitter saying, "Kudos to Big Ben. A record breaking day in an impressive win. Awesome performance."

Cowher still has plenty of love for the Steelers as a team and an organization, even though he's currently employed by CBS to give unbiased opinions. As it turns out, Cowher had this game pegged from the get-go.
