NFL betting lines: Steelers open as six-point favorites over the Tennessee Titans in Week 11

New, comments

The Steelers opened as six-point favorites on the road against the Jets in Week 10 as well.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

It's a second consecutive week of a six-point spread in favor of the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. The home underdog Jets gave them more than they could handle in Week 10 after opening -6, but oddsmakers are going with six points again, this time, against the 2-7 Tennessee Titans.

The Steelers' highly productive offense fell apart against the Jets, wilting under a fierce Jets pass rush and failing to establish anything resembling a positive running game. Tennessee doesn't present the same kinds of challenges against the run the Jets do, but the Titans' secondary has been - mildly stated - better than the Jets have had this season. That meant little to the visiting Steelers who found themselves down 17-0 after their first three possesssions. One of those ended with an Antonio Brown fumble. Another ended with...an Antonio Brown fumble.

One might argue it's a completely different game had that not happened, but when it rains, it pours. And the Steelers better hope for fairer weather in Nashville on Monday Night Football. The Titans have beaten the Steelers in each of the last two seasons, both times as underdogs.
