Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell wins FedEx Ground Player of the Week award

Pittsburgh Steelers' RB Le'Veon Bell was the Week 11 recipient of the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award, his second time winning the award this season.

The Pittsburgh area Red Cross chapter will be receiving another check in the sum of $2,000 from FedEx this week as Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has been awarded the weekly FedEx Ground Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

The award is given for the best performance by a running back in a particular week, and Bell's 204-yard performance on 33 carries and a touchdown was enough to give him the nod over the likes of Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jonas Gray of the New England Patriots.

The last time Bell was honored with this weekly award was after his huge performance on Sunday Night Football in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers when he rushed for 147 yards on 21 carries.

Combine Bell's two FedEx Ground awards with Ben Roethlisberger's two FedEx Air awards this season and the two players have been responsible for the Red Cross in Pittsburgh being $8,000 richer.

The FedEx Air Player of the Week award in Week 11 went to Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers who threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles.
