The Pittsburgh Steelers lost more than just another game to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. They could have lost their chance at winning the AFC North division, as well as losing a leader on defense in Brett Keisel for the season.
On this edition of the 2-Minute Drill, editor of BTSC, Neal Coolong, breaks down where the Steelers must turn in the absence of Keisel, and it isn't a pretty picture.
Assuming Steve McLendon is able to return to the lineup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, the defensive line will rely on Cam Thomas and Stephon Tuitt to help bolster the line in Keisel's absence. Not a very good proposition considering the Steelers play teams with strong running games the next few weeks.
With that said, the Steelers have to find a way to patch up a defense that didn't do very much right against Drew Brees and company on Sunday. If they don't, it'll be another January without Steelers football, something that has become all too familiar for Steelers fans everywhere.
