The Pittsburgh Steelers have had their share of injuries, especially on the defense; however, when Mike Tomlin addressed the media Tuesday, there were some positives from the injury report. All of which could impact the team's lineup Sunday when they play the Cincinnati Bengals.
Among the injured players listed there were no surprises. Brett Keisel (triceps tear) has been placed on IR, nose tackle Steve McLendon (shoulder) will be tested throughout the week to see his availability and Brice McCain's (hamstring) injury was labeled as 'mild' and he could play this Sunday.
Other injury news indicates Ryan Shazier (ankle) and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) should be back in the lineup this week, while Ike Taylor (shoulder) and James Harrison (knee) experienced minor injuries that should not hinder their participation vs. the Bengals.
The lone surprise from the injury report was outside linebacker Jarvis Jones. Tomlin stated the linebacker who injured his wrist in Week 3 had a 'strong week' of practice and could be an asset to the team heading into the biggest game of the 2014 season on Sunday.
Ben Roethlisberger, who was visibly shaken after having his wrist hit during the game vs. the New Orleans Saints, was not listed among the injured players, showing there shouldn't be any setbacks heading into the game this week.
