Steelers Injury Report: Vince Williams and Kelvin Beachum only players added to report after Chiefs win

New, comments

The Pittsburgh Steelers keep moving along as a relatively healthy unit, and that trend continues after the win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers just cleared the Week 16 hurdle in the Kansas City Chiefs, and now they prepare for the season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17.

In a rare Monday press conference, Mike Tomlin addressed the media and was able to shine a light on the injury front and how the Steelers fared following the win Sunday.

The only additions to the injury report were left tackle Kelvin Beachum and outside linebacker Vince Williams. Beachum has an injury to his lower back, but Tomlin said he doesn't see it being an issue come next Sunday night vs. the Bengals. Williams suffered an injury to his ankle during the game and will be evaluated throughout the week.

Other injured players who could return this week are Ike Taylor (shoulder/forearm), Troy Polamalu (knee) and Matt Spaeth (hyper-extended elbow). Their participation in practice this week will be the gauge for their availability on Sunday.

The Steelers game against the Bengals in Week 17 was originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff, but it has been flexed into prime time on NBC for Sunday Night Football.
