Ben Roethlisberger injury: Steelers QB didn't practice Wednesday but it wasn't injury-related

A report says Roethlisberger has a fractured wrist, but Ben and other reports say he just has some numbness in two fingers. He didn't practice Wednesday but that was said to be unrelated to his hand.

Bleacher Report cited a source claiming Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a fractured wrist, but other sources, as well as Roethlisberger himself, say he just has some numbness in two fingers.

According to Steelers Digest editor Bob Labriola, Roethlisberger was held out of practice Wednesday, but it wasn't injury-related.

The timing is a bit odd, but whether he has an issue with his hand, or broken bones in his wrist, Roethlisberger played the remainder of the team's 35-32 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, and over the final quarter, didn't appear to have as many issues as he had early in the game.

No further report was given on Roethlisberger, but James Harrison (knee), Troy Polamalu (illness) and Marcus Gilbert (ankle) also missed Wednesday's practice.
