Maurkice Pouncey accused of assaulting man, hitting a woman, at Miami Beach night club

Pouncey is being accused via social media, and allegedly in a police report a female victim claims to have filed, that the Steelers center punched her, along with him and his twin brother punching a man at a Miami Beach club early Saturday morning.

Maurkice Pouncey and his twin brother Mike seem to have newsworthy birthday parties each year. Last year, it was the "Free Hernandez" gear, this year, based on an allegation from two people via social media early Saturday morning, it's assault.

The Pounceys are accused of attacking a club-goer, according to a man identified as "iRickyVasquez" on Instagram. He says both Pounceys attacked him and he was "jumped by four bouncers" as well.

Another participant in the alleged skirmish, identified as "pretty_moneymmg" on Instagram, wrote a scathing account of what happened, including an accusation that Maurkice Pouncey punched her, and that she had filed a report with the police.

"Went inside @Cameomia 10 minutes just to be punched in my face by Marquise [sic] Pouncey for trying to stop him and his brother mike from beating the shit out of my friend @irickyvasquez. Filed a report even though the Police said nothing probably will be done about this situation. These athletes get on all these fuckin drugs and act an ass knowing they will be protected by these clubs because of how much money they spend in their clubs but I'm not gonna let this shit rest. I'm a female and I won't Stand for no man putting their hands on me."

Without hearing a second side to this, it's hard to cast any particular light. Fights in clubs aren't exactly rare, and it's very common both sides involved share some degree of fault.

However, considering Maurkice was just made the NFL's highest paid center, and Mike won't be far behind that, if not ahead of it, it would have taken a fairly significant event for either of them to feel it was wise to engage in any kind of conduct like what allegedly happened.

The fact the woman allegedly filed a report with police won't do well for either Pouncey, considering the NFL has the ability to suspend without legal charges being filed. Ravens running back Ray Rice is expected to be suspended for to some degree this season for a domestic dispute charge stemming from an incident with his now wife at an Atlantic City casino.
