It's not clear if Phoenix police have arrested Cardinals and ex-Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer on suspicion of domestic assault, as Tyler Baldwin of 3TV in Phoenix reports, or whether they are questioning him at this point.

This report comes in the wake of Vikings RB Adrian Peterson and Panthers DE Greg Hardy being put on leave while facing child abuse and domestic violence charges, respectively. Before that, ex-Ravens RB Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely after receiving just a two-game suspension following a domestic-assault charge.

Dwyer, married with a son, was reportedly pulled from Cardinals' practice Wednesday to be questioned by police. Baldwin's report of his arrest came afterward, at police headquarters. Dwyer has 51 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown in Arizona this season, and 1,022 yards in his five years in the NFL.

Dwyer was a sixth-round pick of the Steelers in 2010 and was released before the 2013 season, only to be re-signed after Week 2. The Steelers didn't attempt to re-sign him this past off-season and he signed with the Cardinals.
