Oregon and Florida State, a.k.a. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bowl. Two of the top candidates for the first overall pick are in this game, Oregon's Marcus Mariota and Florida State's Jameis Winston.
Both programs have put scores of players in the pros over the last few years. With the absence now of ex-Steelers running back LeGarrette Blount, Florida State product Vince Williams will have no one on the roster to talk trash to.
Funny...Blount and Williams were the ones who brawled this preseason. The playoffs, perhaps...
On the other side of the bracket, Ohio State and Alabama will square off, which, oddly, is kind of similar in terms of future prospects to the Steelers and Ravens. Both teams have multiple players from their respective school (Buckeyes is to Steelers as Crimson Tide is to Ravens with draft picks).
We're here to chat it up between the two games, celebrating what's left of the new year. Back to work for a bunch of poor saps tomorrow, but we'll live it up one more night.
