Colts vs. Broncos playoffs open thread

The AFC is where it's at this afternoon, as the Broncos host the Colts for the right to head to Foxboro for the AFC Championship game.

Looking at the Indianapolis Colts, the team able to win a playoff game this season despite the 51-34 hurting the Steelers put on them in Week 8, it makes me think of Steve Buscemi's drunken rant in The Wedding Singer.

Ya know what, pop? The Colts and Andrew Luck ain't so perfect? Remember that time in Pittsburgh, when Ben Roethlisberger dropped six touchdown passes on them?

Not sure where I'm going with that, but it's an enjoyable memory from the season. The Colts are a solid team, and if they find a way to protect their new favorite son and actually play defense, they have just as good a shot at representing the AFC in the Super Bowl as the final three eligible teams.

As for the Broncos, well, most will fully expect a late-season collapse by Peyton Manning, but judging by the general lack of defense surrounding his receivers, we can expect he will dink and dunk his way to a win today. Let's hope for some kind of fireworks at least. Or just a nice stroll back to October when Ben Roethlisberger was unstoppable.
