Keisel to "Shear da Beard" for charity

An annual tradition, the beloved Pittsburgh defender shaves his trademark beard for a good cause.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

For the fifth year in a row, Steelers DE Brett Keisel will shave his famous facial hair.

Jergel's Bar and Grille will play host to the "Mountain Man Makeover" event on Feb. 4, with special guests participating in the shaving and live musical performances from Donnie Iris and Fathertime.  Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the shaving will begin at 7 p.m.

The event is 21 and over and guests are asked for a donation of $50, which buys a ticket, your first drink and an appetizer courtesy of Jergel's.  All donations will benefit the Cancer Centers of UPMC and the Pittsburgh Children's Hospitals.

A silent auction will be held and the opportunity for autographs will be granted on a limited basis.  Tickets will go fast, and can be purchased directly from the Jergel's website.

Jergel's is conveniently located just south of Cranberry Township in Warrendale, right off of either I-79, the PA Turnpike or Perry Township Highway (US Route 19).

Sponsors include PNC Bank, Eat'n Park, WDVE radio station and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
