Having the second-most receptions in NFL history has its advantages. Sort of.
Brown was named as one of four captains to play in the 2015 Pro Bowl - teams selected by NFL Hall of Fame wide receivers Michael Irvin and Cris Carter. Brown joins Browns cornerback Joe Haden, Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and Texans defensive end J.J. Watt as the game's captains.
Brown and Murray are candidates for Offensive Player of the Year after each were big parts of their team's respective division championship runs. Watt is a candidate for NFL MVP after his sheer dominance all season. Haden's 2014 season fell a bit short of his fellow captains.
NFL Hall of Famer John Randle will serve as an honorary co-captain on Team Carter and ex-Cowboys safety Darren Woodson will serve on Team Irvin. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. Jan. 25 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., the site of the Super Bowl, scheduled to be played the following weekend.
