Most fans find any attempt at NFL Power Rankings as meaningless, and rightfully so. After all, it's merely the perspective of one person or a few people on which teams are best. But it can also give a glimpse of where your favorite team might reside among the NFL's elite.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were considered the best team that wasn't undefeated after beating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 at Heinz Field. But after losing to the previously 1-5 Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, a drop in the rankings was expected.
The Steelers did drop down, but only by four spots. Previously ranked at No. 6 in the SB Nation Power Rankings, the Black-and-Gold are clinging to the final spot in the top-10 in the latest rankings. At 4-3, the Steelers are the only team with three losses in the top-10. With Ben Roethlisberger due to return in Week 8 against Cincinnati, fans of the Steelers are ready for the offense, and the team, to reclaim their previous role as an elite team in the league.
As for the AFC North, the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals at 6-0 are the second-highest ranked team, followed by the 10th-ranked Steelers. After Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, the Cleveland Browns (2-5) dropped five spots to 22nd place, and the Baltimore Ravens (1-6) dropped another spot to 30th among the 32 NFL teams.
Should the Steelers defeat the Bengals in Week 8 at Heinz Field to give them their first loss of 2015, their ranking certainly will skyrocket moving forward.
