With the Pittsburgh Steelers sitting at 6-4 heading into their bye week, there is one thing which is certain with this football team, and that is they are in the driver seat in terms of their playoff destiny in the AFC Playoff Picture. With only 6 games left on their schedule, the Steelers currently don't have to take a wait-and-see approach to the latter portion of their schedule. Scoreboard watching will be relocated to their own game, and not others wondering what will be.

With the Steelers in control of their playoff destiny, what are the percentages the team makes the playoffs? Our friends at NumberFire have crunched the numbers and come up with the following percentages. Not just percentages for the Steelers' odds of making the playoffs, but also their chances of winning the AFC North, and more.

Projected Record: 9.71 - 6.29 (Change: +0.29 wins)
Playoffs: 66.7% (Change: +3.8%)
Division: 5.16% (Change: +4.04%)
Conference Championship: 8.46% (Change: +3.18%)
Super Bowl: 4.14% (Change: +1.7%)

When analyzing these numbers, you can see their chances of winning the division nearly doubled from Week 9 to Week 10, and although a 5-percent chance to claim the North title is a borderline miracle, the percentages show if the Cincinnati Bengals continue to slip while the Steelers propel themselves towards the finish line, anything can happen.

What is the most perplexing percentage of the bunch is the projected record. Currently just under 10 wins, the Steelers simply need to go 4-2 in their remaining 6 games to finish with a 10-6 record. The Steelers final 6 games are as follows: at Seattle, vs. Indianapolis, at Cincinnati, vs Denver, at Baltimore and at Cleveland.

Will the Steelers make the postseason? Only time will tell, but the numbers don't lie, and right now they are looking pretty good for the Steelers having a ticket to the big dance in Week 18.
