As reports began to circulate late Sunday evening as the outcome of Le'Veon Bell's knee injury and his possible return in 2015, it started as exciting news of his ACL being spared, and quickly turned South as it was reported of Bell's torn MCL ending his 2015 season.
On Monday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed those reports by placing Bell on the season-ending injured reserve list.

To fill Bell's spot on the roster and on the depth chart, the team signed RB Isaiah Pead. Pead has played in 27 career games with one start, recording 78 rushing yards and 94 receiving yards. He was released by the St. Louis Rams on September 29, 2015. Pead was originally drafted by the Rams in the second round (50th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Pead now joins DeAngelo Williams, Jordan Todman, Dri Archer, Will Johnson and Roosevelt Nix as the players you can see in the backfield for the rest of the 2015 season in Bell's absence.
