Several members of the Steelers hand out turkeys to those in need this Thanksgiving

Several members of the Pittsburgh Steelers did some good in the community by handing out turkeys to families in need this holiday season.

Sometimes throughout the course of a NFL season you are bombarded with negative news. Whether it is the brain trauma happening to the retired players, domestic violence or even the weekly suspensions and fines handed out by the NFL league office, it is important to see the good news happening throughout the league, and for the Pittsburgh Steelers several players did just that Monday evening.

Mike Mitchell, Kelvin Beachum, Arthur Moats, Jordan Todman, Bruce Gradkowski, Roosevelt Nix and Steelers' alumni Charlie Batch joined Will Johnson and his wife to help hand out turkeys and other food to families in need leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Take a look at some of the photos from the event:

It is good to see members of the Steelers out in the community doing something positive this holiday season. I'm sure the families who received the food were more than appreciative, and can't wait to watch the Steelers take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday in Week 12 action.
