AFC Playoff Picture: Steelers loss in Week 12 bumps them from playoff seed

The Pittsburgh Steelers loss to the Seattle Seahawks did more than drop their record to 6-5, it bumped them from the 2015 AFC Playoff Picture.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12, they did more than just drop their 5th game of the 2015 season. They lost their spot in the AFC Playoff Picture as well. Take a look at the mots up-to-date playoff picture:

AFC Playoff Picture Week 12:

New England Patriots - 10-0 - BYE
Cincinnati Bengals - 9-2 - BYE
_______________

3. Denver Broncos - 8-2
6. Houston Texans - 6-5

4. Indianapolis Colts - 6-5
5. Kansas City Chiefs - 6-5

In the hunt:

New York Jets - 6-5
Pittsburgh Steelers - 6-5
Oakland Raiders - 5-6
Buffalo Bills - 5-6
Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-7
Miami Dolphins - 4-7

Due to the Chiefs and Texans both winning in Week 12, and having a better AFC record, it keeps the Steelers on the outside looking in on the most recent playoff picture. In fact, since the Steelers AFC record is so poor, it has them now behind the Jets in the AFC Playoff Picture.

The Steelers will now have a week to let this most recent loss fester, and will have a chance to rebound against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 13 at Heinz Field.
