The Pittsburgh Steelers offense is on quite a streak by scoring 30 points or more in their last 5 games; however, they will face possibly their toughest competition in Week 15 when the top-ranked Denver Broncos defense comes to Heinz Field to try and slow down Ben Roethlisberger and company.
The Steelers, winners of their last two games, are 8-5 and currently on the outside looking in of the AFC Playoff Picture, but the Broncos, coming off a 15-12 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 14, are 10-3 and are not just looking to win the AFC West, but also trying to secure a first round bye in the 2015 AFC Playoffs.
For the Steelers, there aren't many questions surrounding the team heading into Week 15. Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, DeAngelo Williams and Heath Miller will be forced to deal with Von Miller, Aqib Talib and DeMarcus Ware, but the Denver offense certainly has its share of question marks.
Peyton Manning, who has missed a significant amount of time in the 2015 season with a foot injury, could return to the field this Sunday, but the Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak seems confident in sticking with Brock Osweiler for another week.
This may have something to do with the opening line in this big AFC showdown in the Steel City. The early line has the Steelers as 6.5-point favorites to win their final regular season home game in Week 15. The 6.5-point spread is the highest of all sport books, while most have the Steelers as 5.5 or 6-point favorites.
With a 10-3 team playing an 8-5 team, it is a heavy line for team with a lesser record this late in the 2015 regular season. Nonetheless, in this Week 15 game, the early line is placing the Steelers as heavy favorites to win this matchup, something which would go a long way towards the team improving their chances of making the playoffs for the second straight season.
