Head Coach Mike Tomlin sat on a very hot seat Tuesday during his weekly press conference as he had to field questions surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers most recent loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but also about the injuries the team now faces heading into Week 13.
Tomlin says Heath Miller has rib injury. Will be limited early in week. Praises Jesse James' play #Steelers— Dale Lolley (@dlolleyor) December 1, 2015
Tomlin says Mitchell has knee inflammation. Shazier (concussion) still in protocol. Roethlisberger still in protocol despite what Ben said— Dale Lolley (@dlolleyor) December 1, 2015
The injuries to Heath Miller (ribs), Ryan Shazier (concussion) and Ben Roethlisberger (concussion) were known after the game, but Mike Mitchell's knee inflammation was a new injury heading into the Sunday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts at Heinz Field.
If Mitchell is unable to play, he would likely be replaced by Robert Golden, who would play along side Will Allen to complete the safety tandem, but Tomlin sounded optimistic Mitchell would be able to suit up this Sunday in a huge prime time game against Matt Hasselbeck and the Colts.
The Steelers first practice is Wednesday, and BTSC will keep you up-to-date on who practices, who doesn't and their potential availability heading into Sunday.
