Week 15 AFC North Preview: Is the division title still up for grabs?

The Pittsburgh Stelers face the Denver Broncos in Week 15, but taking a look at the rest of the division this week begs the question if the division title is still up for grabs?

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 8-5 heading into Week 15, and due to a Week 14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, combined with the injury to Bengals' QB Andy Dalton, have many fans thinking the Steelers chances of winning the AFC North are very much alive and well.

The Steelers would likely need the Bengals to at least go 1-2, more likely 0-3, in their final 3 games to give Pittsburgh a realistic chance of claiming the AFC North. Without Dalton, nothing is certain with AJ McCarron at the helm, but the Steelers would also need to finish the season winning their final 3 home games.

The Steelers don't need to scoreboard watch, as long as they continue to win. If they win their final 3 games they will earn a spot in the AFC Playoffs, but if they want to have a shot at winning back-to-back AFC North championships, they will need a huge collapse by the Bengals - something they are fully capable of.

AFC Standings heading into Week 15:
Cincinnati Bengals: 10-3
Pittsburgh Steelers: 8-5
Baltimore Ravens: 4-9
Cleveland Browns: 3-10

AFC North Week 15 schedule:

Cleveland Browns @ Seattle Seahawks

The Browns make the trip to the Pacific Northwest when they play the Seahawks in Seattle. The Seahawks and Russell Wilson are red hot, but the Browns and Johnny Manziel come into Week 15 off a victory - something they have only been able to say on three occasions this season. This game could get ugly quick.

Cincinnati Bengals @ San Francisco 49ers

The Bengals travel to the West coast to play the 49ers at Levi's Stadium, the location of Super Bowl 50. While the 49ers are out of contention for the postseason, the Bengals are trying to secure a division title and a playoff spot with a win. The only problem? They are turning to AJ McCarron to get that job done...doesn't exactly exude confidence.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens

Hold onto your chairs, but Steelers fans should be rooting for the Ravens to beat the Chiefs at M&T Bank Stadium Sunday. A Ravens win would equate to a massive improvement in the Steelers' chances of making the playoffs. So, hold your breath, root for those hideous purple uniforms and be sure to shower afterwards.

Denver Broncos @ Pittsburgh Steelers

The top ranked defense against the high flying Steelers offense. Something has to give in this matchup with huge AFC Playoff implications.
