Throughout the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 15 win over the Denver Broncos, Steelers center Cody Wallace took exception to what he felt was a late hit on teammate Antonio Brown. He responded by hitting safety David Bruton helmet-to-helmet in a vicious looking play which drew a personal foul penalty for the late hit.
As reported by several sources, Wallace was fined by the league office.
#Steelers C Cody Wallace was fined $23,152, I'm told, for his unnecessary roughness act vs. #Broncos S David Bruton, who called it dirty

Wallace was lucky to avoid suspension. The current NFL has an almost hyper-sensitivity to helmet-to-helmet hits, especially after Odell Beckham Jr.'s antics vs. the Carolina Panthers and cornerback Josh Norman. Nonetheless, it turns out Wallace will just be missing some money from his weekly pay check, rather than missing an entire game check due to a suspension.
Wallace joins a lengthy and distinguished list of Steelers who have been docked money by the league office. Stephon Tuitt, William Gay, DeAngelo Williams, Cameron Heyward, Chris Boswell, Arthur Moats and Antonio Brown have all donated money to charitable donations via league office suspension.
