Pittsburgh Steelers rank No. 7 in post-free agency Power Rankings

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven't made many moves in free agency, but in's post-free agency Power Rankings the Steelers remain a top 10 team despite the lack of transactions.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers fan base gets rather itchy during free agency, especially when the team they follow doesn't make many moves. It is business as usual for the Steelers this time of year, a couple additions to the team with a couple subtractions and the train keeps moving.

It was a similar song and dance last offseason and the team ended up winning the AFC North with an 11-5 record. Although Steelers Nation defines success by Lombardi trophies, the Steelers seem to be a few players away from having a championship caliber team, and's recent post-free agency Power Rankings agree with that sentiment.

Here is what the rankings had to say about the black and gold heading into 2015:

As long as the Steelers have Ben Roethlisberger, they'll be in contention. Apparently, that is precisely how management feels, too. Meanwhile, though Pittsburgh has suffered some losses on defense, you have to be excited about the development at the skill positions. I'm predicting 1,000 yards for Martavis Bryant. I am also predicting that Le'Veon Bell has a better year than DeMarco Murray. And finally, I'm predicting the Browns blurb won't be coming any time soon in these rankings, so keep reading (for awhile, really), AFC North followers.

The Steelers were the highest ranked team in the AFC North. The Cincinnati Bengals were ranked 12th, with the Baltimore Ravens right behind them in the 13th position. The Cleveland Browns were spotted down in the 29th spot looking up at nearly the entire NFL.

The Steelers don't make many moves in the offseason. They never have, and barring drastic changes most likely never will, but regardless of their lack of moves experts like this team heading into next season.

Here is a look at the top 10 in the Power Rankings:

1. Seattle Seahawks
2. New England Patriots
3. Green Bay Packers
4. Indianapolis Colts
5. Arizona Cardinals
6. Dallas Cowboys
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
8. Denver Broncos
9. Kansas City Chiefs
10. Detroit Lions
