After only a handful of free agent signings this offseason, here is a list of the updated figures for the Pittsburgh Steelers salary cap, as well as estimations, heading into the 2015 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team who never makes big splashes in the free agency pool, and the 2015 offseason is certainly following that specific trend. Nonetheless, it is time to take a look at the updated numbers for the team in terms of money spent on free agency, salary cap as well as estimated draft pool for the upcoming 2015 NFL Draft signees.

Pittsburgh Steelers

FREE AGENT SPENDING: $6.75M ($1.63M GUARANTEED)
NEWLY ADDED 2015 CAP: $2.685M
CLEARED 2015 CAP: $12.9M
EST. DRAFT POOL: $5.15M
CURRENT SPACE: $7.1M

Pittsburgh has been relatively quiet over the past two weeks, locking in RB DeAngelo Williams from the Panthers (2 years $4M), bringing back LB James Harrison (2 years $2.75M), and extending QB Ben Roethlisberger another 4 years $87.4M.

Departures: CB Brice McCain heads to Miami on a 2 year $5.5M deal.

Note: The 2015 cap figure is currently in limbo as we await full details on Ben Roethlisberger's new extension.

The Steelers holding a cap space of $7 million dollars is certainly a good number as the team progresses through the offseason. The team will likely look to extend several current players' contracts, and should be able to do this while still having the funds available to sign their draft picks after the draft at the end of April.

While a lot can certainly change between now and the start of the 2015 season, the organization certainly looks set up to be in a good financial situation this year.
