NFL Power Rankings: Post-Free Agency rankings have Steelers sitting at No. 9

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team with many question marks heading into the NFL Draft. With recent retirements, it is no surprise the Steelers find themselves on the bottom of the Top 10 in the recent Power Rankings.

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team certainly in a grey area after free agency. The team's biggest moves this offseason were re-signing Ben Roethlisberger and bringing in DeAngelo Williams to help bolster the running back depth. After that, the news has been fairly sour for the Steelers. Le'Veon Bell's suspension announced at 3 games, Troy Polamalu retires and Ike Taylor follows suit.

No wonder in the latest CBSSports.com NFL Power Rankings, the Steelers come in at No. 9, falling one spot from the pre-free agency rankings. See what CBS had to say about the team's ranking:

No. 8 Pittsburgh Steelers

They gave Ben Roethlisberger a long-term deal, which was the right thing to do. If they get better around him, they will contend again.

The Steelers most certainly are preparing to add talent around Roethlisberger, but it isn't the offensive weapons which has fans concerned. The concern would fall on the defensive side of the ball. To say this upcoming NFL Draft is important, might be one of the biggest understatements of the offseason.

If you are wondering how the rest of the AFC North ranked in the Power Rankings, the Baltimore Ravens were the highest ranked team in the division at No. 7, the Cincinnati Bengals were right behind the Steelers in the 10th spot and the Cleveland Browns were staring up at the rest of the division in the No. 29th position in the rankings.
