Earlier this week a report surfaced regarding the NFL's desire to release the 2015 schedule on Thursday April 23rd. As of April 16th, those reports are starting to change. A Pro Football Talk statement says the league office has completed the schedule, and might release it earlier than originally expected.
The NFL schedule being released is a big deal for a lot of people, and I'm not just referring to fans and NFL organizations. TV companies, sports networks and the like all have a share of the biggest pie in United States sports, the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are traditionally one of the NFL darlings in terms of the amount of prime time games on the schedule, but this year fans of the Black and Gold will be waiting to see exactly how the toughest schedule in the NFL will shake out. More importantly, the organization, and fans alike, will be watching to see which games Le'Veon Bell will miss due to his 3-game suspension.
Will the team kick off the season against the New England Patriots in Foxborough? Seems like we might find this out earlier than expected. As for me, the schedule release can't come soon enough.
