Suspension for LeGarrette Blount stems from his arrest last season in Pittsburgh

The NFL has made a decision on former Pittsburgh Steelers, now New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount and his role in the Le'Veon Bell DUI arrest last August. The league suspended Blount one game for violating the league's new substance abuse policy. The suspension will force Blount to miss the season opener in 2015.
Blount's suspension is likely the pre-cursor to Bell's eventual suspension. Speculation suggests Bell will receive a two-game suspension for the arrest in Pittsburgh last August before the team's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Blount was dismissed from the Steelers after walking off the field following a game. Blount was eventually claimed off waivers by the Patriots where he went on to win a Super Bowl with New England.
There is a large contingent who believes the Patriots will host the Steelers to kick off the 2015 season, and if that comes to fruition both teams would be without their starting running backs as both Blount and Bell would be suspended during the contest.
