Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger 40th on Forbes' highest-paid celebrities list

It pays to be a NFL quarterback, and it pays to be Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. Forbes magazine recently released their top 100 celebrity list, and Roethlisberger found himself 40th on the list.

It pays to be Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger - literally. After the quarterback signed his new 5-year deal this offseason, his salary has catapulted him into the realm of Forbes magazine.

Roethlisberger and teammate Maurkice Pouncey were already placed on the 'Highest-paid athletes' list, but now Roethlisberger finds himself on a much more prolific list - the 'Highest-paid celebrity' list.

Roethlisberger's $49-Million dollar income has him 40th on the latest Forbes list. Not only is Roethlisberger on a list with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Kim Kardashian, but he is the highest NFL player on the list. In fact, it isn't until Nadmukong Suh's name is seen at No. 57 with a $38.5-Million dollar income can another NFL player be found on the list.

This is the part where fans typically lament the amount of money these celebrities make and get extremely envious when thinking about having $49-Million dollars in their bank account.

Regardless of your views on the amount of money these celebrities make, Roethlisberger has more than earned his cash with the Steelers as he has brought two Super Bowl titles to the Steel City, as well as been the most sacked quarterback in the league since being drafted in 2004.
