The Pittsburgh Steelers have seen their share of injuries through three preseason games. Lost for the year is place kicker Shaun Suisham with a torn ACL, several players like WR David Nelson have been waived injured to sign another player and most recently Maurkice Pouncey had surgery on his injured ankle.
Time to do some inventory on the walking wounded for the Steelers:
Backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski underwent surgery on the dislocated finger on his left hand Tuesday. Tough news for a player who spent the majority of training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, only to come back and get injured trying to recover a fumble on Sunday.
Here's one reason Michael Vick is headed to Pittsburgh: Bruce Gradkowski dislocated his left finger and is having surgery today, per source.

The surgery certainly coincides with the news of Michael Vick traveling to Pittsburgh to possibly sign with the team. Vick possibly signing with the team could very well mean the end of either Gradkoswki's or Landry Jones' time with the team. No news on Vick's signing has been released yet.

Speaking of Suisham, the kicker was at the team's South Side practice facility today on crutches, and seemed to be in good spirits. Of his style of play and if it will change after the injury, Suisham said it is who is he and the fluke injury won't change a thing.
Suisham did mention the playing conditions in Canton, OH during the Hall of Fame game, and it certainly meshed with what the other players on the team had to say about the conditions.
Suisham on conditions in Canton: "It didn't come as a surprise to me that someone got hurt. Unfortunately it turned out to be me. #steelers

Steelers DE Stephon Tuitt was seen in the team's locker room walking around in a walking boot. He described his injury as a sprain and is listed as day-to-day, although he is expected to miss the remainder of the preseason, and possibly into the regular season, depending on the location (high ankle sprain vs. a low ankle sprain) and severity of the sprain.

The Steelers next preseason game is this Saturday, August 30th at 4:00 p.m. EST against the Buffalo Bills.
