When the Pittsburgh Steelers line up to play the Minnesota Vikings in the annual Hall of Fame game this Sunday in Canton, OH, their helmets might look a bit different. Nothing major, but the team will be wearing a special decal to honor former RB Jerome Bettis and his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Bettis' induction into the Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, with the game being nationally televised on Sunday. Canton, OH is certainly expected to turn into a Steelers town with Bettis being the next great Pittsburgh Steeler to have his bust forever enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
Bettis will not just get to enjoy being surrounded by friends and family this weekend, but will also have a special ceremony at Heinz Field when the Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football this 2015 season. 'The Bus' has been waiting longer than most expected to get this incredible honor, and the organization is showing one of their favorite sons the respect he deserves. Steelers fans everywhere will be waving their terrible towels in their basements as they see Bettis' bus revealed on Saturday night.
