Steelers sign a defensive end and running back, release Anthony Chickillo and Doran Grant

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still tinkering with their 53-man roster, and did so Sunday by releasing two draft picks and signing a defensive lineman and running back.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not done finalizing their 53-man roster Sunday, despite coming to the league-mandated 53 players on Saturday. The team was looking for some depth along the defensive line, and in their backfield, and they filled those two positions Sunday through free agency.

The team acquired DE Caushaud Lyons and RB Jordan Todman. Todman was with the Carolina Panthers, and scored a nice 49-yard touchdown against the Steelers in Thursday's preseason game. Lyons was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being released.

The controversial aspect of these acquisitions are the players who were released to make room for the new additions. Two draft picks, Doran Grant (4th round) and Anthony Chickillo (6th round) were both released. The two draft picks will now have to clear waivers before any transactions can take place within the Steelers organization, or any other NFL franchise.

The Steelers could still be planning on making more moves, so stay tuned to BTSC for all the latest surrounding the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers.
