The Pittsburgh Steelers were fortunate to have things go their way in Week 17. Their victory over the Cleveland Browns, combined with the Buffalo Bills win over the New York Jets, solidified the No. 6 seed for the Steelers. After the 1 p.m. EDT games concluded, opponents wouldn't be known until the late games wrapped up.
When the dust settled, it will be the Steelers traveling to play the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the AFC Playoffs. Take a look at the Playoff standings:
1. Denver Broncos - BYE - Will play lowest seeded team in Divisional round
2. New England Patriots - BYE - Will play highest seeded team in Divisional round
__________
3. Cincinnati Bengals
6. Pittsburgh Steelers (Wild Card)
4. Houston Texans
5. Kansas City Chiefs (Wild Card)
The card is set, and Steelers vs. Bengals Part III will go down next weekend. The date and time of the games have yet to be determined, but you can imagine this AFC North grudge match will pack plenty of punch with the season on the line.
The Steelers and Bengals split the season series one game a piece, with both teams winning on the road against their divisional foe.
