NFL Power Rankings Week 5: Steelers big win has them among NFL elite once again

New, comments

The Pittsburgh Steelers rebounded in a big way in Week 4, and the NFL Power Rankings headed into Week 5 certainly recognize their improvement.

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

Weekly Power Rankings are great for debate. The "My team should be higher!" and "There is NO WAY that team should be ranked there." are always great fodder during the early portions of the upcoming week, but for fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers their roller coaster continues after a dreadful performance in Philadelphia in Week 3, followed by dominance in Week 4 at Heinz Field.

So, with the up-and-down nature of the NFL, and the Steelers the past two weeks, where will the experts have the Pittsburgh in the latest rankings? For the most part, the usual sites have Pittsburgh catapulting themselves near the top of the charts, but those at SB Nation continue to be slow to buy what the Steelers are selling. Either way, take a look at where Pittsburgh is ranked in this week's Power Rankings, and let the debate begin!

"What a response from the Pittsburgh Steelers! And actually, in the time that it took you to read that sentence, Ben Roethlisberger just launched another 50-yard touchdown pass! When Markus Wheaton starts catching perfectly thrown balls down the field, you know things are rolling. What was supposed to be marquee matchup between two of the most exciting running backs in the league became a Sixburgh sprint relay. Steelers fans aren't pissed."

"One week after being blown out by the Eagles, the Steelers returned to form in their dominant win over the Chiefs. Le'Veon Bell's return had a lot to do with that, taking the offense from great to potentially the best in football. The Steelers are firing on all cylinders following this win."
