Steelers Injury Report: Looks may be deceiving when it comes to the Week 11 report

The Pittsburgh Steelers injury report may look troublesome, but in reality it isn’t too bad.

Monitoring the injury report is a favorite past time of Pittsburgh Steelers fans. While some fan bases might just gloss over the names listed, Steelers fans continue to wait for the other foot to drop, in regards to injuries.

With the Wednesday practice session behind them, some fans might look at the updated injury report and have some minor heart palpitations. Some big names were listed on the ‘Did Not Participate’ list, including All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey. However, fans should take a deep breath and realize Pouncey is most likely resting his surgically repaired thumb, and will likely play this Sunday at Cleveland.

Other than Pouncey, the rest of the players who didn’t participate Wednesday will likely miss the upcoming game for one reason or another. The real news for Pittsburgh were the players who were limited in their participation.

Jordan Dangerfield (groin) begins his return back to the lineup, along with Ladarius Green (knee), Sammie Coates (finger) and Xavier Grimble (quadriceps). All were limited in practice, and their ability to work their way to full participation will be very telling in regards to their availability in Week 11.
