The Pittsburgh Steelers were not just victorious against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. They won on the road against a sub-.500 team, and they covered the spread, something they haven’t done often this season.
Betting aside, the Steelers win has propelled them, at least in Las Vegas’ eyes. As the black and gold start a very short week of preparation, 4 days to be exact, before they play the Indianapolis Colts on Thanksgiving night, Vegas sees them as early road favorites.
According to BookMaker, they have the Steelers as 2-point favorites heading into Week 12.
This game will pit two 5-5 teams, with a lot hanging in the balance, against one another at Lucas Oil Stadium. If the Steelers can leave victorious they will be able to accomplish a lot of things. They would shake off their Thanksgiving day blues, would put the pressure on the Baltimore Ravens in the race for the AFC North as they play the Cincinnati Bengals, and would do something they haven’t done since their Week 5 against the New York Jets, win back-to-back games.
The line on this game could certainly change between now and Thanksgiving night, but if you like the Steelers on the road against Andrew Luck and company, you might want to run to the window before the odds officially change.
