The Pittsburgh Steelers have fallen on tough times. Not only have they lost three straight football games, but they have also lost control of the very mediocre AFC North division.
After losing games to the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots in back-to-back weeks, the team came off the bye week and absolutely laid an egg in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens. After all that, there is no chance they are favorites at home against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, or is there?
Believe it or not, the Steelers are early 3-point favorites in the interconference matchup about go down at Heinz Field next Sunday, this according to BookMaker.
These two teams about to square off in Week 10 couldn’t be in different positions heading into the game. Dallas has been galvanized by two rookies in Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott to the tune of six consecutive wins. All while the Steelers have been beaten and bruised on their way to a 4-4 mark as the midseason point of the season.
What could be the most shocking is how Las Vegas is giving the Steelers the early points. I realize Pittsburgh is a good home team, but there is no reason for Dallas not to even be road favorites, like the Patriots were in Week 7.
This is the time when I am constantly reminded how truly strange it is that Vegas often times knows something the casual fan doesn’t. The lines are set to move money, and most fans would be clamoring to buy the Cowboys to win getting three points. Something is amiss here, but if you like the Steelers to win at home, and cover, then you might want to head for the window before the line likely changes before all is said and done.
