In what should be a shock to no one, Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 14 performance against the Buffalo Bills.

As if there were any doubt, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award after his Week 14 slaughter of the Buffalo Bills defense.

The statistics are well known. Bell gained 298 yards from scrimmage last week, and that was more than the Bills offense, and the Tennessee Titans, both gained in their respective games.

What might be more impressive are the detailed statistics which are absolutely mind-blowing. For instance, Bell had 176 yards rushing before contact. Read that again, he carried the ball for 176 yards before a defender even laid a hand on him.

Bell has transformed his game this season, and looks to have regained his All-Pro form he experienced in 2014. The one knock on Bell as a player to date has been he hasn’t played in a postseason game, nor has he finished a season healthy since his rookie season in 2013.

The Steelers hope both of those trends change starting in just 4 weeks as they hope to win the AFC North and earn their spot in the 2016 AFC Playoffs.
