Football is a team game, and when players call each other “brothers” they treat each as if they are family. When a family member is in trouble, you stick up for them.
This is exactly what happened with Pittsburgh Steelers guard Ramon Foster, who came to the aid of teammate Le’Veon Bell during the team’s Week 13 win over the New York Giants at Heinz Field.
Linebacker Kelvin Sheppard appeared to be twisting Bell’s neck in the middle of a gang tackle, and Foster took exception to what was happening to Bell.
Take a look for yourself:

Foster’s fine reportedly totals $9,115, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, and this is the standard fine for the league when they see someone striking/kicking/kneeling, late hits or unnecessarily entering a fighting area for a second offense.
Thankfully for Steelers fans, Bell wasn’t injured on the play, and although Foster might be a little lighter in the wallet this week, I’m sure there are some teammates who would chip in to make the payment a little less, especially Le’Veon Bell.
