There are some fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers who have to rely on the preseason for their chance to watch their favorite team at Heinz Field, or possibly in another location. Some can't afford the prices of regular season tickets, or can't travel for whatever reason. Regardless, for those who look at the preseason as an opportunity, you might want to mark your calendars as the team has announced the dates and times of all four preseason games in 2016.
The following is a look at the Steelers’ 2016 preseason schedule:
Date | Opponent | Time/TV |
---|---|---|
Friday, Aug. 12 | vs. Detroit Lions | 7:30 PM - KDKA-TV |
Thursday, Aug. 18 |
vs. Philadelphia Eagles | 7:00 PM - KDKA-TV |
Friday, Aug. 26 | at New Orleans Saints |
8:00 PM - KDKA-TV |

The Steelers will play several familiar opponents in the 2016 preseason. After a year hiatus, the team will play the Philadelphia Eagles again, and their continued relationship with preseason matchups and the Carolina Panthers continues.
Although the release of the dates and times of the preseason are rather boring, Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. EDT is when the 2016 NFL Schedule will be released. Now that is something to look forward to.
