Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers who follow Le'Veon Bell on social media are used him posting a lot of videos regarding his newest rap mix tape, as well as videos of him donning the black and gold uniform and dominating the competition.
After injuring his knee mid-way through the 2015 season, many medical experts wondered if Bell would be able to make a full recovery in time for the start of the 2016 season. Although he is not completely "back", he is making strides, figuratively and literally.
Take a look at his latest post on his Instagram account of him working his way back to the field...
The exercises he is doing are very typical for a rehabilitation assignment, but also very close to allowing him to start some lighter lateral movement exercises. It was a couple months ago Bell showed himself running on a treadmill, and this video also shows him doing several functional movement exercises in a straight line. The true sign he is close to returning will be when he is able to do lateral movements to truly test the damaged knee.
The team could use Bell back on the field for the entire 2016 season, especially with the absence of Martavis Bryant for the entire season. He and DeAngelo Williams will certainly provide a dangerous duo in the backfield of 2016, and make the team's offense one to be reckoned with as they try to win their 7th Super Bowl.
