6th round pick Travis Feeney the latest Pittsburgh Steelers rookie to sign contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed another rookie to their initial deal with the NFL.

Don't look now, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed another draft pick Friday, a day after they signed a pair of 7th round draft picks. Who inked a new deal today? 6th round pick, and OLB, Travis Feeney of Washington.

The signing means there are 3 of the 7 rookies in the Steelers' 2016 NFL Draft class now under contract. The remaining players who have yet to sign are: 1st round pick Artie Burns, 2nd round pick Sean Davis, 3rd round pick Javon Hargraves and 4th round pick Jerald Hawkins.

The Steelers held their first day of rookie minicamp Friday, and will conclude camp on Sunday, the 8th of May. There is no rush to get the rookie contract signed, but clearly the earlier the players are under contract the better -- both for the player and the organization.
