The Pittsburgh Steelers have completed their voluntary OTAs, and are now preparing for mandatory minicamp next week. The goal has been to have all of their rookies under contract by that time, and the team has achieved this goal Friday when they came to terms on a contract with Javon Hargrave from South Carolina State.
Steelers have signed third-round pick Javon Hargrave. All seven draft picks are signed. ... Whew. That was close.

The deal with Hargrave was the last contract needed to complete the seven-man draft class. Under the new CBA, every player, depending on which round he was drafted, is given almost an identical contract. The signing bonus and verbiage in the contract can change in some situations.
Rookie contracts are in the rear view mirror, and ahead is mandatory minicamp, and the big kahuna itself -- training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA in late July. Ladies and gentlemen, believe it or not, football is right around the corner.
